Soul of the Mountains + Tapas - E-Bike excursion on Gran Canaria

Each challenge reveals twice the beauty. Discover the wild heart of Gran Canaria.

This guided e-bike tour is for more experienced riders.
Thanks to the electric motor, the climbs feel almost flat, but good bike handling skills are needed on the descents.
On this ride, you will cycle through pine forests, lush palm groves, and arid desert landscapes.
Along the way, some of the island’s most picturesque mountain villages.

The route:
We start at our bike shop in Playa del Inglés, where a shuttle takes us up to the starting point at Era del Cardon.
Very soon we are taking in the views of the Tirajana Valley,
a landscape shaped by volcanic forces and centuries of rural life.
We then begin the only longer continuous climb of the day.
Effortlessly climb through beautiful mountain villages like Santa Lucía, making our way to San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
After San Bartolomé, we begin what we could call a ""Canarian descent"": a downhill that also includes a few short climbs mixed in, so be sure to save some battery power.
Our next stop is Fataga, known as “the Valley of the Thousand Palms,”.
Here, we take a break to enjoy a well-earned Canarian tapas lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch, we start our descent toward the coast.
There are two small climbs before the final long descent.
This last section demands good bike handling skills and stamina as you navigate the many winding corners.
But the stunning views of the Maspalomas Dunes in the distance make every turn worth it.
We finish the ride back at the Free Motion shop in Playa del Inglés — tired, happy, and full of great memories.

Note:
This tour is best suited for fit riders with some cycling experience.
Handling skills on descents are important to fully enjoy the route safely.
