Discover Switchback Heaven!

We start this road cycling adventure from our Playa del Inglés bike shop. From here, we embark on a thrilling journey northward toward San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Our first challenge is the Degollada de las Yeguas viewpoint, perched at 474 meters. After this initial high, we descend into the valley, a few kilometres of pure cycling joy before the next ascent starts. Pedalling past the charming village of Fataga, we climb to Tunte, the highest point of our adventure at 900 meters. Our adventure continues through San Bartolomé de Tirajana, where we make a short loop through the town before setting off eastward towards the village of Santa Lucia.

Here, we take a break to recharge our batteries and stretch our legs. Now ready for the next leg of the journey, we head southeast. First, there is the downhill towards El Doctoral, and exhilarating set twists and turns via the famous Los Cuchillos road. There are some stunning vistas of the ravines and valleys below accompanying us. As we reach El Doctoral, we make a westward turn, following the coastline to Playa del Inglés. Most days, the wind is at our backs, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride home.

This guided road tour is suitable for all level cyclists and will make for a memorable experience on the bicycle. It is during this cycling adventure that you will experience one of the most iconic Canarian landscapes and make memories to last for a lifetime.
