Ride to Pico: Gran Canaria’s Summit Challenge - Road bike excursion on Gran Canaria

Welcome to Pico Wednesday .
Cycle from sea level to the island’s peak and experience Gran Canaria’s diversity with views of Tenerife.

This guided road tour is for hobby cyclists who are confident on sustained climbs and enjoy a real day out on the bike.
It offers you the chance to take on Gran Canaria’s most iconic climb—from sea level to the island’s highest point.

Tour route:
We roll out from Playa del Inglés and warm up through the Fataga Canyon.
A steady climb brings us to San Bartolomé, where we stop for local almond cake. From there, fresh tarmac carries us to Ayacata and on toward the summit.
The final push to Pico de las Nieves is the hardest stretch, a long, consistent effort through forest towards the summit.
At the top (1,949 m), the views stretch across the island and beyond.
On clear days, Mount Teide appears above the clouds.
Depending on the group’s pace and timing, we descend either via Ayacata or ride the full loop down another side of the mountain.
