Road biking on Gran Canaria:
The island has quiet mountain roads with smooth asphalt, spectacular scenery, high peaks, deep valleys, long climbs and fast descents - equally suited for pros, amateurs and hobby riders. Eternal summer makes riding ideal all year. Cappuccino road tours offer a new experience for those who want to enjoy a ride during their holidays. We will explore the Canarian scenery, in the company of like-minded people. The pace is slow, offering us enough time to enjoy the views and take photos.

Average speed: 20-25 km/h

Hobby bicycle tours are for riders used to being in the saddle for at least 2 hours. Having experience with cycling in a group is recommended. As we venture further into the heart of the island, we'll face several climbs. The pace will be moderate but steady. Fear not, we will take breaks for refuelling and taking photos.

Sport road cycling tours are for the experienced rider, the one who is used to long hours in the saddle, riding in a group, and that can hold a faster and more consistent pace on climbs. We will occasionally stop to take in the views or fill our bottles. The mid-ride lunch break is a certainty.

Only for experienced mountain bikers. Variable and difficult terrain conditions. Not suitable for beginners!
Advanced MTB riding skills are necessary for all tours from level 3.

Technique: 2 of 4 dots

You have good bike handling skills on gravelly terrain as well as sandy tracks. You are confident climbing and descending steep slopes. 

Difficult MTB GC EN

Physically Fit, max 800 meters up, max 20%, moderate pace

Technique: 3 of 4 dots

You have good bike handling skills when riding on technical single-tracks. You are comfortable climbing and descending on loose and inconsistent trail surfaces. 

Very difficult MTB GC EN

Physically Fit, max 1.200 meters up, max 25%, moderate pace

Technique: 4 of 4 dots

You have excellent good bike handling skills on any terrain. You are comfortable climbing and descending steep slopes, going over rocky sections and varied single tracks.
